Rock! Not quite. Ironically Rock is basically a beach side area across the water from Padstow. The name Rock comes from the mine/quarry from which the rock used to be used as ballast for the ships across the water in Padstow. The quarry is now a carpark. Up the road from the beach you have various million pound properties frequented by the more well-to-do and even the Royal Family. The village shop is stocked very well with high end good as well as the more everyday items. There is a bakery and a few cloths shops. There are a couple of very good hotels, and ‘The Black Pig’ one of the few Michelin Starred Restaurants in Cornwall.
There are a few Restaurants in Rock and the surrounding area and the range of places for eating out in Rock cater for all budgets, from Cafes, Pubs, and Restaurants to the top end a Michelin Star Restaurant.
