Polzeath is a tiny beach side town famous for its surf, sited beneith Pentire point at the mouth of the River Camel on the opposite side to Padstow. The whole area from Rock to Trebetherick and onto Polzeath was a favourate haunt of Laureate and Sir John Betjeman both of which comment frequently on the area in their verse. The Church on the St Enodoc golf club is the final resting place of Sir John Betjeman.
